The 8-strand billet caster of Yonggang Group supplied by CISDI Shanghai on EP basis was put into official operation on July 10, 2011. It has produced 80,000t billets since then, with billet quality and withdrawal speed satisfying the requirements. The billet caster is equipped with slag detection, auto level control, continuous tundish temperature measuring, non-sinusoidal oscillation, mould and end electro-magnetic stirring, narrow-seam scarfing, weighing & specified-length cutting, marking machine and infrared camera tracking, etc.
