August 6 witnessed the success of hot on-load test of rolling mills for high-strength V-containing seismic building materials supplied by CISDI for Desheng Steel on EPC basis. The cast billets of 160mm×160mm×9700mm were heated in the walking-beam reheating furnace, and then sent to the rougher, intermediate rolling mill and finishing mill for rolling. Micro-tension rolling was applied in rougher and intermediate rolling mill, and tension-free loop rolling in finish rolling mill. The hot-rolled ribbed bars of Φ25mm were then cooled by water at controlled temperature, cut by multi-length shear, cooled in walking cooling bed, divided by cold flying shear, bundled automatically, weighed, labeled and finally stored in warehouse. The product properties were tested and proved satisfactory. The rolling line is designed to produce totally 800,000t/a high-strength deformed bars of Φ14~40mm and quality bars of Φ20~60mm. The core technology regarding process, equipment and electrical control are supplied by CISDI. The guaranteed max. rolling speed of the line is 18m/s.
